Mary Meade Sampson has over 25 years of experience as an interior designer. She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in interior design and a minor in art history. After working for other people, she and her mother, Francie Meade, started a design business in 2000. They had many happy years of helping people with their homes and businesses.

Bluestone Studio started as a collaboration between Mary and Vicki Butz. Their friendship started at JMU, home of many buildings made out of Virginia bluestone. After having worked on many interior design projects together over the years they decided to make it official in 2020 and go into business together. After a successful and fun 18 months of many design projects together, Vicki relocated to Florida.

Mary is passionate about helping homeowners and business owners make their spaces the best they can be. She is a big believer in having a plan before you start buying things. Bluestone Studio makes the sometimes overwhelming process easier for our clients. Nothing makes us happier than when our clients are happy and enjoying their new spaces!
